Endometriosis is a common gynaecological condition causing menstrual and pelvic pain. A new Cochrane Review suggests that Chinese herbal medicine may be useful in relieving endometriosis-related pain with fewer side effects than conventional treatment. However, better quality randomised controlled trials are needed to investigate it.

ACUPUNCTURE FOR MIGRAINE PROPHYLAXIS

The Cochrane Library publised an updated version of a Cochrane review to investigate whether acupuncture is effective in reducing headache frequency in patients with migraine. The conclusion is that there is consistent evidence that acupuncture provides additional benefit to treatment of acute migraine attacks.
