ACUPUNTURA AND ENDOMETRIOSIS

Endometriosis is a common gynaecological condition causing menstrual and pelvic pain. A new Cochrane Review suggests that Chinese herbal medicine may be useful in relieving endometriosis-related pain with fewer side effects than conventional treatment. However, better quality randomised controlled trials are needed to investigate it.

Acupuncture and dysmenorrhea

A german study published in the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology found that patients with dysmenorrhea who received acupuncture in addition to routine care had significant pain relief and reported a better quality of care than did those women who just received routine care.
